The chase came to a halt, thanks in part to the quick thinking and bravery of two truck drivers, a 38-year-old from Auetal and a 27-year-old from Arnstadt. Inspector Thomas Bodendiek, who oversaw the operation, praised their actions, describing them as courageous.
The two drivers, after receiving a witness appeal on Monday, contacted the Braunschweig Highway Police. They made a decision to sandwich a recklessly driving car without endangering others, an action that Inspector Bodendiek considered outstanding.
