In the heart of Fürth, a physical altercation took place on Monday, 06.01.2025, that left a 23-year-old man severely injured. The incident occurred in front of a snack bar at Königstraße/corner of Schindelgasse.
The investigation into this suspected attempted murder case is being led by Anna Weber from the Fürth Criminal Police. The investigation has been conducted in close coordination with the Public Prosecutor's Office Nuremberg-Fürth.
The altercation involved several people, with the initial perpetrators remaining unknown. Witnesses, including several bystanders who were near the Fürth town hall during the incident, are being asked to come forward. An unknown man wearing a beige jacket was present near the U-Bahn exit and attempted to separate the attackers from one of the injured men.
During the altercation, the 23-year-old man was kicked repeatedly, resulting in him losing consciousness. The injured man was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment.
A red Smart car was seen driving towards the incident site. Two suspects aged 18 and 19 years were arrested based on existing arrest warrants on Friday, 11.04.2025. They will be presented to the investigating judge later on the same day, on suspicion of attempted manslaughter.
