On August 27, 2025, a hit-and-run case occurred on the bike path of Weseler Straße in Wesel, Germany. The incident involved a 14-year-old driver of an E-scooter and an unidentified Pedelec rider.
According to the Traffic Commission 2 of the police in Wesel, the Pedelec rider was riding a black ladies' Pedelec and was traveling from Dinslaken in the direction of Voerde. The 14-year-old was coming from the connecting path between Waltraudweg and B 8 and wanted to turn right onto the bike path of B 8 in the direction of Voerde.
The collision took place around 7:40 AM, and the Pedelec rider fell after the impact. However, the rider stood up, adjusted the handlebars, and left the scene, heading towards Voerde. The Pedelec rider is described as a man, approximately 23-28 years old, around 175 cm tall, with short blonde curls.
The Pedelec rider had a brief conversation with the 14-year-old after the collision and then left the scene. The 14-year-old was injured in the collision.
