Authorities seek individuals who may have observed a collision involving an e-scooter and a pedal-assisted bicycle.
In the early hours of August 27, 2025, a hit-and-run incident involving a Pedelec cyclist occurred on Weseler Straße in Dinslaken. The collision took place near house numbers 188 and 194, at approximately 7:40 AM.
According to the police, the unknown pedelec rider, described as a man around 23-28 years old, approximately 175 cm tall, with short blonde curly hair, was riding a black women's pedelec. The rider was traveling from Dinslaken towards Voerde when the incident occurred.
The 14-year-old e-scooter rider, who was coming from the connecting path between Waltraudweg and B 8, wanted to turn right onto the bike path of B 8 towards Voerde. However, the collision caused the Pedelec cyclist to fall. After the fall, the Pedelec cyclist got up, adjusted the handlebars, and left towards Voerde, continuing to flee the scene in the direction of Voerde after briefly stopping.
The Pedelec cyclist is the victim in this incident, having been injured in the collision. The Traffic Commission 2 of the Police Department in Wesel is currently investigating the case.
