Stolen Electric Bike in Herford: Police Appeal for Witnesses
A brand new Merida eSpresso 700 EQ pedelec, valued at approximately 2700 euros, was stolen from a public location in Herford on Friday, June 6, 2025. The incident occurred between 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM.
The 65-year-old owner of the bike parked it at a bank branch on Straße Auf der Freiheit in Herford around 5:00 PM, but when he returned later that evening, the pedelec was gone. The bike was secured with its own lock and an additional folding lock, but the thief managed to make off with it.
