Autumn weather anticipated to be pleasant in Astana and Almaty

Autumn 2025 in Kazakhstan is set to bring a change in the usual weather patterns, with rain and thunderstorms predicted to make an appearance, according to the latest forecasts from RSE "Kazhydromet". This departure from the typical variable cloudiness and no precipitation patterns is expected to result in a more dynamic and unpredictable weather pattern compared to previous years.

On September 4, 2025, the weather in Astana is expected to be variable cloudiness, with no precipitation. Wind speed will range from 9-14 m/s, and the temperature will be between +11°C to +13°C at night and +24°C to +26°C during the day. Similarly, Almaty's weather on the same day will also be variable cloudiness, with no precipitation. Wind speed will be 3-8 m/s, and the temperature will be between +11°C to +13°C at night and +25°C to +27°C during the day.

Temperatures in Kazakhstan during autumn may range from scorching +40°C to the first frosts. The upcoming autumn may be characterised by a significant drop in temperatures, leading to the first frosts. This mix of warm and cold temperatures is expected to make the weather in Kazakhstan during autumn 2025 more extreme.

It is important to note that rain and thunderstorms are unexpected weather events for September in Kazakhstan. However, they are anticipated to occur during the autumn of 2025. Unfortunately, I do not have access to future weather forecasts from RSE "Kazhydromet" for Kazakhstan for September 5 to 10, 2025.

First frosts are expected in Kazakhstan during autumn 2025, marking the end of the warm season and the beginning of the cold season. As always, it is advisable to stay tuned to the latest weather updates to ensure safety and preparedness during this unpredictable season.
