AVI Systems and InfoComm joining forces once more to deliver InfoComm Esports Live 2.0
InfoComm Esports Live 2.0 is set to make a grand return from June 12-14, bringing together the worlds of audio-visual technology and esports. AVI Systems, in partnership with AVIXA, is aiming to expand the event with a larger stage, more collegiate teams, and more live gameplay.
The event will be hosted by Austin "Austy" Champion, an esports enthusiast who leads brand initiatives for Allied Esports. InfoComm and AVI Systems will present this exciting event, which will feature a massive Planar dvLED wall, Q-SYS professional audio, and a lightning-fast network by NETGEAR. Sony PTZ cameras and professional displays will be used in the event's production.
The Gaming Stage will host collegiate teams in three-on-three Rocket League matches using top-of-the-line gaming equipment. Attendees can watch as these teams battle it out, with the championship game taking place on June 14. After a double elimination, the top three teams will win prizes.
The event will also feature sessions such as "Gaming and Esports Future in AV" with Bubba Gaeddert and "Building a Facility Around Esports" with Joshua Kell. College technology experts from eFootprints will share insights about the technology journey of colleges and universities in relation to esports.
For those interested in the business side of esports and the technology that fuels its momentum, the Coaches' Stage will provide valuable insights.
InfoComm Esports Live 2.0 will not only offer live match-play competitions but also esports expert presentations, tech demonstrations, play-by-play commentary, interviews, and podcasts.
On June 13, Amanda Eberle will lead an InfoComm show floor tour focused on Events and Entertainment at 11 a.m. PT. The tour will include visits to the FOH control room, production observatory, and main production control room of HyperX Arena. InfoComm will also host an Integrated Experience Tour of HyperX Arena on June 12, allowing attendees to go behind the scenes of the esports venue.
There will also be an Events and Entertainment Meetup on June 13 at 4 p.m. PT at AVIXA Xchange LIVE (W2847).
Unfortunately, there is no available information about the institutions hosting InfoComm Esports Live 2.0 in 2024. However, with the success of this year's event, it's sure to be an exciting time for those interested in the intersection of technology and gaming.
