Awards bestowed upon piano pupils
Talented Young Musicians Shine at Munich Music University
The Munich Music University is home to the Young Academy's talent program, a renowned initiative designed for gifted young musicians. In the upcoming winter semester of 2025/26, the program will welcome a new member: eight-year-old Charlotte Frohnholzer and twelve-year-old My Anh Dinh.
Charlotte, who recently competed in the Steinway Competition finals in Hamburg, secured fourth place, demonstrating her exceptional talent. Her success has earned her scholarships that will enable her to perform in concerts and attend piano courses. Previously, Charlotte participated in the "Munich Piano Platform" and was also awarded scholarships.
My Anh Dinh, a twelve-year-old prodigy, was accepted into the Young Academy's talent program. She will be supported by Daniel Deffin during her 14-day courses at the Munich Music University. Despite her participation in the talent program, My Anh's regular piano lessons with Tanja Wagner at the Landshut Music School will not be affected.
My Anh is not the first successful young musician to be part of the Young Academy's talent program. Thirteen-year-old Lea Marie Werner, who won first place at the "Five Lakes Youth Music Competition" in Gilching, is another shining example.
The Young Academy's talent program offers more than just piano courses. It includes training in music theory, ear training, and youth lectures, providing a comprehensive learning experience for its young participants. This diverse curriculum is designed to nurture and develop the talents of these budding musicians.
With the addition of My Anh Dinh, the Young Academy's talent program continues to foster the growth of promising young musicians, ensuring that the tradition of excellence in music education at the Munich Music University continues to thrive.
