In the early hours of today, a shocking incident occurred at a car dealership in Schöneberg, Berlin. The event, which is being treated as a criminal case by the State Criminal Police Office, resulted in the complete destruction of six cars and damage to four more.

Three unknown individuals gained access to the rear courtyard of the car dealership on Kolonnenstraße. They set fire to three cars by pouring a flammable liquid on them and then fled the scene, leaving behind a trail of destruction. Three adjacent vehicles also caught fire and were completely destroyed.

The fire on Kolonnenstraße was fully extinguished by firefighters, but the damage to the dealership's property remains extensive. Three workshop doors were severely damaged, and one other vehicle was slightly damaged. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident, neither to the employees or customers of the car dealership.

The State Criminal Police Office is urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and contact them. The investigation into the arson is being carried out by the fire investigation unit from the State Criminal Police Office. The cause of the arson and the identities of the perpetrators remain unknown at this time.

Kolonnenstraße remained closed between Kolonnenbrücke, Kesselsdorfstraße, and Wilhelm-Kabus-Straße until around 6 am due to the firefighting operations and subsequent investigation. As of now, the car dealership has not yet issued a statement regarding the financial impact of the arson and the subsequent closure of their premises.

The public is asked to stay informed and to avoid the area until further notice. The police assure the residents and visitors of Schöneberg that they are doing everything in their power to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for this act of arson.
