In a surprising turn of events, renowned pianist Rudolf Buchbinder will now lead the Grafenegg concert finale on September 7. The concert, originally scheduled to be conducted by Daniel Barenboim, has been altered due to injuries sustained by the latter from a fall.

Buchbinder, who serves as the artistic director of the Grafenegg concert, will not only direct the concert but will also perform as the pianist. He will be performing Beethoven's Piano Concertos Nos. 4 and 5 from the piano, making for an unmissable evening of classical music.

The Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich will participate in the concert, providing the necessary symphonic support to Buchbinder's performance. The concert program will now feature only Beethoven's Piano Concertos No. 4 and No. 5.

The Grafenegg concert will still take place on September 7, and Buchbinder will be the pianist for the event. The concert will also feature Beethoven's 5th piano concerto, promising a night filled with the iconic composer's music.

It is worth noting that Zubin Mehta, who was originally scheduled to take part in the Grafenegg Festival, has not been mentioned in the latest update regarding the concert.

Daniel Barenboim's cancellation comes as a disappointment to many, but music lovers can rest assured that they will still be treated to a spectacular performance under the leadership of Rudolf Buchbinder. Buchbinder will take over the musical direction of the Grafenegg concert finale, promising an evening of unforgettable classical music.
