Bavaria Wins a Five Million Euro jackpot in Eurojackpot
Eurojackpot Worth €120 Million Remains Unclaimed
The Eurojackpot, a transnational lottery involving 19 participating countries, reached its cap of €120 million before being won in the draw that took place on August 8th. The winning numbers for the draw were 9, 37, 40, 41, and 46, with the Euro numbers being 1 and 12.
Despite the massive prize, the jackpot has yet to be claimed, as the winners have three years to come forward. In the meantime, three lucky players or syndicates have won the second prize tier, each receiving approximately €5.85 million.
One of these winners is from Bavaria, Germany, where a player or group matched five main numbers and one Euro number to win the second prize. Simultaneously, one winner each in Finland and Norway also won the second prize tier, amounting to €5,850,555 each.
The draw, which took place in Helsinki, was announced by Westlotto following the event. To play the Eurojackpot, players select 5 numbers from a pool of 50 and 2 Euro numbers from a pool of 12. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 140 million, making it a challenging but exciting game.
The Eurojackpot has not been won since August 8th, ending a streak of eleven consecutive draws without a jackpot winner. The next Eurojackpot draw will take place on the following Tuesday, offering another chance for players to strike it rich.
