In the vibrant art scene of Berlin, Ennio Nobili, the man behind the queer one-man business, En Ceramica, has been making waves with his latest work. Known for his provocative and powerful ceramic pieces, Nobili is currently creating large ceramic butt plugs, a departure from his previous phallic-themed collection, 'Phallophoria'.

Before starting his pottery business, Nobili worked odd jobs for two years after arriving in Berlin in 2018. However, the pandemic offered him an opportunity to turn his passion for pottery into a business. En Ceramica specialises in creating dark-toned ceramic tableware, with a dominant and powerful aesthetic, featuring raw black tones, simple designs, and sharp edges.

One of Nobili's recurring design elements in his pottery is a penis, a motif that was prominent in his 'Phallophoria' collection, which included phallic plates. This collection was a huge hit with his queer following, but unfortunately, it is currently sold out.

Nobili's latest creation, the ceramic butt plugs, are not part of a previously mentioned collection. These pieces, though not yet available for sale, are intended for potential exhibition in an art space. Ennio Nobili plans to exhibit hundreds of these ceramic butt plugs in an art space, although they have not been exhibited as of yet.

In addition to his controversial pieces, Nobili's ceramic works also include more traditional items such as plates, cups, teapots, and vases. The artist is conducting weekly workshops to teach students wheel-throwing, wedging, centring, opening, and pulling, sharing his unique approach to pottery with a new generation of artists.

Nobili hopes his ceramic pieces reflect Berlin's all-black aesthetic, which is antithetical to his home city of Rome. He intends to exhibit his current creations in the contemporary art galleries of Milan, marking a new chapter in his artistic journey.
