Bobby and Sarah's canines facing an unprecedented situation, described as being "overwhelmed" to an immense degree.
In the peaceful district of Helmstedt, there lies a unique sanctuary known as Herbert's Farm. This haven is a retreat where animals, including pigs, goats, chickens, cats, and geese, can live largely freely. However, the work is described as "very intensive."
Two eight-year-old dogs, Sarah and Bobby, have called Helmstedt their home for the past three years. They have, unfortunately, faced difficulties cohabitating with other animals at the sanctuary.
Wiebke and Annika, the operators of Herbert's Farm, have been caring for old, sick, and distressed animals, including dogs from difficult circumstances. Wiebke notes that Bobby and Sarah are totally people-oriented, loving physical contact with their people. However, they have shown signs of fear when encountering objects like feathers and water hoses.
Initially, Wiebke and Annika became aware of Bobby and Sarah's situation through a friend. They planned to visit the dogs and assess the situation. After careful observation, they decided that with patience, loving care, and training, Bobby and Sarah could achieve more and potentially lead happier lives.
It was reported that in their previous private household, the man allegedly hit the dogs when they met other dogs, causing them to lose control. This behaviour has significantly improved since their arrival at Herbert's Farm. With time and care, better interaction with other dogs is possible for Bobby and Sarah.
Wiebke prefers to rehome Bobby and Sarah individually, as they can sometimes be difficult to handle. She describes them as very child-friendly and extremely people-oriented. Despite their challenges, Wiebke believes that with the right home and care, they can thrive.
Interested individuals can contact Wiebke and Annika on Facebook under Herbert's Farm to meet Bobby and Sarah. They are currently seeking loving, individual homes for the dogs because of their special needs and difficulties getting along with other animals on the farm.
During a recent visit to Herbert's Farm, Sarah and Bobby were observed. They were already in the car on their way to their new home, marking a new chapter in their lives. Sarah and Bobby came from a young family who were reportedly overwhelmed by the two dogs.
With patience, training, and the right home, Bobby and Sarah have the potential to live a happy, fulfilling life. If you think you could provide them with the care they need, reach out to Wiebke and Annika on Facebook under Herbert's Farm today.
