Border Controls Nab Traffic Law Violators: BPOLI LUD Report

In the early hours of the morning, the Federal Police in Görlitz carried out an operation to apprehend four traffic offenders on the A4 Highway. The arrests were coordinated by the Autobahnpolizei of the Polizeipräsidium Trier, according to regional examples of similar operations.

A Slovak citizen (27) was among those arrested. The individual was found to be driving without a license and had an outstanding fine to settle with the court, amounting to 1,581.00 euros. The Cottbus Local Court had previously convicted the Slovak citizen for driving without a license.

Another individual, a Polish citizen (34), was also arrested for driving without a license and having an outstanding fine. This time, the debt was in connection with a verdict from the Dillenburg Local Court, totalling 1,600.00 euros. The Görlitz Public Prosecutor's Office, branch office Bautzen, had a warrant for the arrest of the Polish citizen.

A 46-year-old Pole was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident without permission and owing 750.00 euros to the Frankfurt court. The individual was also taken to prison due to lack of funds to avoid substitute imprisonment.

A Polish traveler (48) was arrested for driving under the influence and had to pay 2,000.00 euros to the Bayreuth Local Court.

The Federal Police Inspectorate Ludwigsdorf reinstated border controls on the A4 Highway in Görlitz in response to these incidents.
