Strong Winds Expected in Zabaykalsky Krai: EMERCOM Issues Safety Reminder
On September 3, the Hydrometeorological Center has forecasted gusts of wind up to 15-20 m/s in the Zabaykalsky Krai. In light of this, the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia for the Zabaykalsky Krai has issued a reminder about safety measures during such strong winds.
Residents are advised to take precautions to secure their homes and avoid going outdoors if possible. This includes securing outdoor items to prevent them from being carried away by the wind. Items from balconies that could be blown away should be removed. Greenhouses and outbuildings should be strengthened to withstand the strong gusts.
Additionally, residents are advised to check that windows and vents in buildings are closed to prevent any potential damage. Avoid using devices with open flames and strong heat output, as they could potentially cause a fire during these windy conditions.
In case of an emergency, dial "112" or "101". The head of the main directorate of EMERCOM Russia in the Zabaykalsky Krai region is Colonel Sergey Anatolyevich Savchenko.
The Telegram channel of the regional EMERCOM has shared this information, urging residents to stay indoors if possible and to prioritise safety during these strong wind conditions. The Hydrometeorological Center is the source of the wind forecast for the Zabaykalsky Krai on September 3.
