Bucks Dominate Fourth Quarter, Secure Victory Over Pacers
In a thrilling turn of events, the Milwaukee Bucks managed to secure a hard-fought victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 3 of their playoff series. The final score was 124-118, with the Bucks coming from behind in the fourth quarter to seal the deal.
The Pacers started the game strongly, taking a lead of 57-47 into halftime. However, the Bucks rallied in the second half, particularly in the third quarter where they outscored the Pacers 39-18, taking a commanding lead of 86-75.
Gary Trent Jr., who was inserted into the starting lineup in place of Taurean Prince, was instrumental in the Bucks' comeback. Trent scored an impressive 18 points in the third quarter alone, bringing his total for the game to 55 points. He also tied the franchise playoff record set by Ray Allen in 2001 by hitting 9-of-12 three-point attempts.
Aaron Nesmith, the top scorer for the Pacers in the first half with 15 points, contributed 18 points for the game. AJ Green, who made three three-pointers in the fourth quarter, finished the game with 12 points, making four three-pointers in total. Pascal Siakam scored 28 points for the Pacers.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led all scorers with 17 points in the first half and finished the game with an impressive triple-double, scoring 37 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and dishing out 6 assists.
Damian Lillard, who has been recovering from a torn Achilles tendon and blood clot issues, did not play an active role for the Bucks in this game. He only took an active role in the fourth quarter if he played at all.
Coach Doc Rivers praised Trent's aggressive play, stating that he attacked Tyrese Haliburton effectively. Haliburton logged 14 points and 10 assists in the game for the Pacers.
Game 4 of the series is scheduled for Sunday, April 27, in Milwaukee. The Bucks will be looking to extend their lead in the series, while the Pacers will be aiming for a comeback.
