A traffic accident involving a Ford car and a bus occurred in Greifswald on Thursday, August 27, 2025, at approximately 08:45. According to the Police Inspectorate Anklam, the investigation is ongoing on suspicion of negligent bodily harm.
The incident took place at an intersection with two consecutive traffic lights, on Güstrower Landstraße. The bus driver, aged 25, attempted to stop but could not prevent a collision with the car.
The driver of the Ford car, a 70-year-old man, was traveling along Güstrower Landstraße. According to current police knowledge, he stopped at the stop line as the front light turned yellow. Unfortunately, the elderly man sustained serious injuries, and his passenger, aged 41, sustained minor injuries. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries among the bus passengers. The total material damage caused by the accident is estimated to be around 30,000 euros. It is worth noting that all parties involved in the accident are German citizens.
