In a bid to improve public transport services, the Nur-Sultan and Almaty akimats have announced several changes and new initiatives.

The press service of the capital's akimat recently announced that new buses will be purchased in Nur-Sultan this year, as part of efforts to modernise the city's transport system. However, there are no specific announcements for 2024 in Nur-Sultan, according to the search results available.

Meanwhile, in Almaty, a new bus park has been launched on route No92, and the Almaty akimat has approved a master plan for transport system development, with implementation starting in 2024.

In Nur-Sultan, five new routes will be launched this year, and changes to existing routes have already been implemented. As part of these changes, the route of bus No15A has been extended, now including the 'Gorodskoyi Ftiziopulmonologii' and 'Gorodskoyi Infektsionnyi Tsentr' stops. This extension increases the total number of buses on routes No15 and 15A to 21.

The changes to routes No15 and 15A are effective from February 1, and the extension of route No15A does not affect any other existing routes. The Nur-Sultan akimat made these changes as part of their ongoing efforts to improve service quality.

In a related development, emergency buttons are proposed for installation in Kazakh buses to ensure passenger safety.

It is important to note that these changes are specific to Nur-Sultan and do not affect the transport system in Almaty or other cities.

Stay tuned for more updates on public transport developments in Kazakhstan.
