On Thursday afternoon, the 28th of August, the Dortmund Police executed a series of operations codenamed "PK Focus". The operations, which took place in Lessing Street, were conducted in response to allegations that a backyard in the area was being used as a drug storage facility.
During the operation, several individuals were controlled, and a known drug dealer was found to be in possession of cannabis. This illicit substance was promptly seized by the officers.
The police dog, Harry, from the Police Dog Unit of the Police Presidency in Duisburg, was deployed to aid in the search. Harry's keen nose led him to a drug bunker hidden in a cluttered courtyard. His successful search during the operation earned him a reward.
Despite the seizure of cannabis and the discovery of a drug bunker, there is currently no publicly available information regarding a Dortmund resident who was charged by the police on August 28, 2021, for illegal drug trafficking.
The resident involved in the operation was released without a remand investigation.
