=======================================================================

A traffic accident involving a car and a cyclist occurred in Hanhofen, Germany, on Friday, July 11, 2025, at approximately 6:00 PM. According to a report published by news aktuell and transmitted by the Ludwigshafen Police Directorate, the cyclist, a 19-year-old individual, sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital after initial treatment by emergency services.

The cyclist was reportedly riding on the left sidewalk instead of the road when they collided with an oncoming car, driven by a 55-year-old individual. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.

The Ludwigshafen Police Directorate, headed by Alexander Graczyk since September 1, 2025, is the point of contact for further inquiries. Mr. Graczyk succeeded Thomas Lederer and officially took over the position on that date. Interested parties can contact the Press Office of the Speyer Police Station via phone at 06232-137-262 (or -0) or send an email to [email protected].

The police have advised drivers to exercise caution and attentiveness, especially at junctions, crossings, and overpasses. The accident serves as a reminder for all road users to prioritise safety and follow traffic regulations.
