Car Accident Near Langenzenn Resulting in Injuries to Three Individuals - Political Update (809)
A traffic accident occurred on the B8 near Langenzenn, district of Fürth, on August 12, 2025. News aktuell reported the incident, and the police from Fürth's traffic department are currently investigating the accident.
The accident involved a truck and two stationary small trucks. According to the police, the 30-year-old truck driver stopped his vehicle behind the broken-down truck to provide assistance before the accident occurred. The 61-year-old truck driver, who was also involved in the accident, and the 27-year-old driver of the broken-down truck also sustained injuries. Tragically, three people were injured in total.
The 30-year-old truck driver was seriously injured and was airlifted to a hospital. The 61-year-old truck driver and the 27-year-old driver also received medical treatment.
The affected section of the B8 was closed for the duration of the accident investigation and the subsequent towing of the vehicles. Firefighters from the surrounding area assisted with traffic diversion. A tow truck company was involved in the process of towing the vehicles.
An accident reconstruction expert was called in at the request of the public prosecutor's office to help determine liability. The driver who caused the accident is typically identified through a thorough investigation involving witness interviews, police and accident reports, medical documentation, and expert analysis such as accident reconstruction.
The accident site was cleared again at around 13:30. The accident caused significant material damage to the vehicles involved, estimated at several tens of thousands of euros.
