Car burglaries targeting elderly residents
In Euskirchen, Germany, a theft took place at the cemetery on Jülicher Ring Street on Wednesday, August 20th, at noon.
An elderly couple, an 84-year-old man and his wife, visited the cemetery. While the woman paid her respects at a grave, her husband remained in the vehicle.
Unfortunately, an unknown individual approached the car and opened the passenger door. This person, described as being approximately 60 years old, around 1.70 meters tall, and having Western European features, was wearing a cap.
The unknown individual stole a cloth bag from the footwell of the car, which contained a wallet and a key ring. After the theft, the individual struck the trunk and fled towards the city center via Frauenberger Street on a mountain bike.
