Car Crash on B9 Leaves Three Injured
A car crash on the B9 near Trechtingshausen and Bingen on Sunday evening left three occupants slightly injured and resulted in a total loss of the vehicle.
According to the police, the car was travelling from Trechtingshausen towards Bingen when the 19-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle. The car spun into a stone wall, causing the crash.
Investigations have revealed that prior to the crash, the passengers in the car were arguing, and it is alleged that a 58-year-old passenger caused the crash by suddenly pulling the handbrake. The passenger, who is accused of dangerous interference in road traffic and bodily injury, was heavily intoxicated during the accident.
The police ordered a blood test for the passenger, and investigations against him are underway. The passenger, however, remained uninjured in the crash.
Three of the car's occupants were taken to the hospital for treatment. The B9 was fully closed for an hour due to the accident.
The age of the passenger who allegedly caused the crash is 58 years old, and the car involved in the crash is now a total loss. The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of reckless driving and the importance of road safety.
