Carpet has been prepared, reported by Sergeant.
The annual Fruit Carpet exhibit is returning to the Old Church in Hünfeld-Sargenzell, Germany, this September. The intricate art piece, created by the Fulda artist Heike Richter, will be on display from the 6th of September until the 9th of November.
This year's theme is "The Storm on the Sea," symbolizing trust and communal strength against life's challenges. Heike Richter, the artist behind the design, created the motif back in April and spent May meticulously laying out the design using tweezers and small spoons with the help of fellow campaigners.
The Fruit Carpet is an impressive 24 square meters in size, with the design spread across eight large boards that have been carefully placed and secured in the church. The exhibit is made from seeds, grains, and ground leaves, creating a vibrant and detailed image that captures the attention of visitors.
The creation of the Fruit Carpet is a labour of love that takes several months to complete. Brigitte Lindner, a member of the "Support Association Old Church Sargenzell e.V. 1989," has been instrumental in organising the exhibit each year.
Visitors are invited to view the Fruit Carpet free of charge, although a small donation to the support association is welcomed. The exhibit is a popular attraction, drawing many visitors each year who are captivated by the beauty and meaning behind the art piece.
So, if you're in the Hünfeld-Sargenzell area this autumn, be sure to stop by the Old Church to witness the stunning Fruit Carpet exhibit. It's a sight not to be missed!
