In a continuation of a decade-long campaign, Israeli drone attacks were reported in Syria on Tuesday. These strikes mark the latest in a series of Israeli operations in the war-torn country, which began in 2011.

The Israeli military has been conducting drone attacks on Syria since the regime of Bashar al-Assad, typically targeting Iranian-backed forces and allied militias as part of its strategic operations in the region.

The attacks on Tuesday resulted in the death of one man in the south of Syria, according to reports. However, the exact cause of death for the individual was not specified in the article.

A young man was reportedly killed in an Israeli strike on a home in the village of Taranja, on the formerly Syria-controlled side of the armistice line on the Golan Heights. The Syrian Arab Army reported the loss of six members in the drone strikes.

The 44th Division in Syria had a military building targeted by an Israeli drone, according to reports. The attacks occurred near Kisweh, outside Damascus.

Israeli drone strikes near Damascus on Tuesday also killed six Syrian soldiers, as reported by state television. The Israeli military did not respond to a request for comment regarding the drone strike.

Since Bashar Assad's overthrow, Israel has occupied much of a U.N.-patrolled demilitarised zone on the formerly Syria-controlled side of the armistice line. It is unclear if there has been any response from Syrian authorities to these recent drone strikes.

It is also worth noting that Israel has held talks with the interim authorities in Damascus in the past. However, the current state of these relations remains unclear.

This latest round of Israeli strikes in Syria continues a pattern of activity that has seen hundreds of strikes since the anti-regime alliance toppled Bashar Assad in December 2011.
