On Monday, 8th September 2025, a traffic accident occurred on the Autobahn 28 in Hatten, Delmenhorst, Oldenburg, and Wesermarsch. The incident involved two vehicles: an Audi and a vehicle from Westoverledingen.

The driver of the Audi, a 29-year-old from Oldenburg, was responsible for the collision. According to reports, he failed to notice that the vehicle in front of him was slowing down. As a result, he collided with the vehicle from Westoverledingen, which was being driven by a 35-year-old from the same town.

The accident occurred in the left lane of the Autobahn 28, in the direction of Bremen. The impact was severe, causing significant property damage to both vehicles. The total damage is estimated to be 18,000 euros. The Audi, the vehicle driven by the at-fault driver, was no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away.
