Dormagen, Germany - The cultural office team for D'Art 2026 is proud to announce that local creatives Irmela Hauffe, Carolin Andritschke, Maja Wojdyla, and Ulrico Czysch will support the event on an honorary basis. This marks the 20th edition of the largest community exhibition of local artists, a tradition that continues to thrive in Dormagen.

The theme for D'Art 2026 is "Happiness," inviting artists to express their interpretation of this universal emotion through their work. Submissions, which can be paintings, photos, collages, sculptures, and plastic arts, are welcome with a maximum width of 150 cm. The deadline for submissions is set for the second half of October next year.

The jury, comprising Holger Hagedorn, a multimedia artist from Pulheim, Melanie Guthe, a visual artist from Duesseldorf, Martina Storm, an art teacher at the Bertha-von-Suttner-Gesamtschule in Nievenheim, and the aforementioned local creatives, will decide which artworks will be included in the exhibition.

Angelika Knauft and Reinhard Knauft will once again serve as patrons for D'Art 2026. The event will be opened on November 20, 2026, in the glass gallery of the Kulturhaus Dormagen. The exhibition will be on display until March 17, 2027, and will also be available online for a wider audience to enjoy.

In a unique initiative, a minimum donation of five euros, instead of an official participation fee, will go to the Heilpaedagogische Kindertagesstaette in Nievenheim. This donation will contribute to the support of children with special needs, aligning with the theme of happiness and the spirit of community that D'Art 2026 embodies.
