German Actor Arthur Brauss Passes Away at 89
Arthur Brauss, a quiet star of German television entertainment, has passed away at the age of 89 in Munich. His wife, Marie Pocolin-Brauss, confirmed his death to the German Press Agency.

His acting debut was in the film "Delay in Marienborn" in 1963, and he went on to appear in internationally known productions such as "The Great Escape," "Cross of Iron," and "Stalingrad" between 1963 and 2021.
Before his acting career, Brauss was a track and field athlete and became the German youth champion in pole vaulting. After completing a commercial apprenticeship, he studied mathematics and economics at the University of Wyoming, where he gained his first acting experience on the university stage.
