Celebrating two decades of operation: KisanKraft boosts agriculture for 50 million farmers in India, pushing agricultural innovation globally
KisanKraft Celebrates 20 Years of Transforming India's Small Farm Mechanisation Sector
KisanKraft Limited, a leading agritech company, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary on August 26, 2025. Founded in a small garage in Bengaluru in 2005 by Ravindra Agrawal, KisanKraft has grown to become the largest player in India's small farm machinery segment.
Over the past two decades, KisanKraft has focused on making mechanisation affordable and accessible to small and marginal farmers. Today, more than 50 lakh (5 million) farmers across India trust KisanKraft's services. The company offers over 300 models of machinery that span the complete crop cycle.
KisanKraft's success is built on a nationwide network of 5,000+ dealers and 14 regional offices, ensuring last-mile access and support. The company is also working on strengthening its Nellore manufacturing facility under the Make-in-India vision, with plans to expand production and promote domestic production.
KisanKraft is integrating digital tools for enhanced farmer engagement. This includes mobile-based advisory, service scheduling, and spare parts ordering. The company is also launching region-specific machinery tailored to local crops, soils, and practices. KisanKraft aims to deliver end-to-end mechanisation solutions for the top 20 major crops in India, including Rice, Wheat, and Maize.
In addition to its focus on mechanisation, KisanKraft has set new quality benchmarks with BIS: ISI-certified products and patented innovations. The company's focus on sustainability has led to innovations such as Sustainable Dry Direct Seeded Rice (SDSR) technology, stubble shavers, and electric-powered equipment. KisanKraft will shortly launch indigenously developed battery-powered weeders to promote sustainable mechanisation.
KisanKraft's future plans include diversifying its seeds division with resilient, high-yield varieties aligned with climate-smart agriculture. The company also plans to expand its exports to more than 50 countries, including several African nations. KisanKraft Limited has targeted these countries to expand its exports and plans to launch indigenous battery-operated pasture grazers in 2025.
Finally, KisanKraft plans to strengthen training programs for mechanics, operators, and farmers to ensure that they can make the most of the company's innovative machinery and services. As KisanKraft looks to the future, it remains committed to its mission of transforming India's small farm sector and empowering farmers with the tools they need to succeed.
