Celebrations for Eid-e-Miladun Nabi (PBUH) Kick Off in Islamabad
Preparations for the national "Quran and Seerat Exhibition" in Islamabad are in full swing, marking the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Miladun Nabi (PBUH) on Saturday, September 6, 2025. The day has been declared a public holiday.
The city is adorned with green buntings, flags, and colorful lights, decorating streets, roads, buildings, mosques, and houses. The government has made special arrangements to commemorate the year 1447 Hijri as the 1500th blessed birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The day will commence with a 31-gun salute at the Federal Capital and a 21-gun salute in all provincial capitals. Special prayers will be offered after the Fajr prayer for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the progress and prosperity of the country.
The main event of the day will be the International Seerat Conference to be held at Jinnah Convention Center Islamabad. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are expected to attend this conference, along with diplomats, religious scholars, representatives of various faith communities, and government officials from Pakistan and other countries.
Prominent scholars, esteemed Ulema, diplomats, and delegates from both within the country and abroad have already reached Islamabad to participate in the international conference. The exhibition will showcase manuscripts, publications, and digital content related to the Quran and Seerat.
Besides the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony and the prominent Naat Khawans, various social, educational institutions, and religious organizations are organizing programs to celebrate Eid-e-Miladun Nabi (PBUH) with religious zeal and fervor.
Milad processions will be taken out in all cities on Saturday. The faithful will distribute food and arrange functions on this day. A special Mehfil-e-Naat will be held at Pakistan National Council of Arts in Islamabad tonight, with prominent Naat Khawans from across the country participating.
TV and radio channels will present special programs for Eid-e-Miladun Nabi (PBUH), highlighting all aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and stressing adherence to his teachings and Sunnah. Ulema and Khateeb will do the same in the processions, reminding the faithful of the importance of following the Prophet's example.
As the celebrations for Eid-e-Miladun Nabi (PBUH) unfold, the city of Islamabad is filled with a spirit of unity, devotion, and festivity, reflecting the love and respect the people of Pakistan hold for the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
