Celebratory opening weekend for Advent festivities
The Rembruck Advent Market is set to return this year, offering a festive and safe environment for families and young people. From November 30th to December 1st, the market will be open from 2 PM to 8 PM on the 30th and 12 PM to 6 PM on the 1st.
The market will be officially opened by Mayor Steffen Ball on Saturday at 2:30 PM. Following the opening ceremony, the children of the Matthias-Claudius School will perform, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The organiser, the local municipal authority or event organiser specific to Rembruck, has implemented a ban on cannabis consumption to ensure a safe and family-friendly environment. The ban extends to Saturday from 1:30 PM to 10 PM and Sunday from 11:30 AM to 8 PM. Violations of the ban will be punished with fines of up to 150 euros or fines of up to 500 euros.
Visitors can enjoy various food options, with local clubs offering Rembruck sausage, fries, mushrooms, homemade crepes, waffles, coffee, and cake. The Matthias-Claudius School and the Kita Rembruck will also offer food and drinks.
In addition to the food and entertainment, the market will feature a wide range of handmade Christmas decorations, Advent wreaths, arts and crafts, and warming accessories.
Santa Claus will make a special appearance on both days, reading Christmas stories around 4 PM. This is a great opportunity for children to meet Santa and share their Christmas wishes.
Uwe Michael Hajdu, the head of the department of public order and first mayor, explained the reason for the cannabis consumption ban, stating that it is to protect children and young people and maintain a safe and family-friendly atmosphere at the Rembruck Advent Market.
So, come and join the festivities at the Rembruck Advent Market, where you can enjoy a family-friendly environment, delicious food, unique shopping, and even a visit from Santa Claus.
