Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay publicly shares his skin cancer diagnosis, urging everyone to remember the importance of sunscreen use
Gordon Ramsay, the renowned celebrity chef, has taken to social media to share his personal health journey following a bike accident and subsequent skin cancer surgery.
In a series of posts on Instagram, Ramsay advised his followers to prioritise their safety while cycling, regardless of the length of the journey. He shared a picture taken following his medical procedure, which revealed a massive purple bruise on his torso, a result of the bike accident. Another picture showed a scar near his ear with stitches, indicating the location of the surgery.
Ramsay also posted a picture showing a large bandage on his side profile, and one of his pictures displayed a scar near his ear with stitches. He wrote on Instagram that he was lucky to be alive after the bike accident.
Last year, Ramsay had a health scare due to a bike accident, and this time around, he was diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma. The surgery was performed by The Skin Associates.
The bike accident occurred in Connecticut in June 2024, and while there are no available search results indicating who caused the accident, Ramsay's daughter Holly Ramsay commented on the post with "Love you dad."
