Ceramic artisans of Haferlmarkt fundraise for local children's shelter
The Landshuter Haferl Market, an annual event held in the Freyung area of Landshut, has once again proven to be a special experience for visitors while making a significant difference in the lives of children. This year's event, which took place at the beginning of September, saw the market raise approximately €3,650 for the St. Vinzenz Children's Home.
The funds were raised through the sale of donated items from participating potters, many of whom are students from the Landshuter Ceramic School. Around 30 ceramic artists take part in the market annually, showcasing their unique works and contributing to the donation.
The official handover of the donation took place at the Haferl Market, with representatives of the potters, Kerstin Klebl and Wolfgang Sturm, expressing satisfaction with the success of the fundraising action. They stated their desire to continue supporting the St. Vinzenz Children's Home through their creative work.
Mayor Alexander Putz expressed delight at the Haferl Market's dual role of providing a special experience and directly benefiting the children's home. Employees Julia Berger and Sophia Kroeninger thanked for the donation on behalf of the St. Vinzenz Children's Home, expressing gratitude for the potters' generous support.
The financial support will help the St. Vinzenz Children's Home offer new perspectives to the children, making their daily life more beautiful through art. The potters aim to continue this tradition, with the next Landshuter Haferlmarkt event scheduled to take place from September 6 to September 8, 2024.
The Landshuter Haferl Market has become an annual donation action for the St. Vinzenz Children's Home, demonstrating the integration of art and social commitment at the event. The sale of ceramic items at the Haferl Market not only offers visitors a unique shopping experience but also contributes to a worthy cause.
