In the heart of Reutlingen, a series of incidents have taken place over the past few days, ranging from a traffic accident to reports of suspicious behaviour and vandalism.
On Friday afternoon, a traffic accident occurred in Pfullingen's Market Street. The incident involved a cyclist and a 20-year-old Skoda driver. The cyclist, unfortunately, sustained severe leg injuries and was treated on the spot by emergency services before being taken to the hospital. The Skoda driver, thankfully, remained unharmed.
Later that day, around 3 PM, a 27-year-old man was seen stealing a bottle of alcohol from a supermarket in Emil-Adolff-Straße. A male passenger intervened due to suspicious circumstances, preventing the man from contacting a child. The police patrol, who recognized the 27-year-old, stopped him for a check near the Reutlingen Regional Bus Station and found him to be intoxicated with over one percent alcohol. He was taken to the Reutlingen police station and released back onto the street around 1:45 PM. The Reutlingen-West Police Post has taken over the investigation regarding the 27-year-old.
Last week, two classrooms of a school on Schulstraße were vandalized and damaged. Meanwhile, between August 10 and 15, 2025, an unknown perpetrator or perpetrators attempted to break into a school in Nonnengasse, causing significant property damage.
Elsewhere, a 37-year-old man is currently under investigation by the Tübingen Traffic Police for reckless driving. In Kirchheim under Teck, a physical altercation occurred in front of a restaurant on Alleenstraße, with a 63-year-old now facing several criminal charges following a disturbance in Altbach on Friday night.
Unfortunately, a 27-year-old man repeatedly approached an 8-year-old girl on a bus journey from Wannweil to Reutlingen. The police patrol threatened him with a long-term detention order. The total damage from the traffic accident and the vandalism incidents is estimated to be around €11,500.
As the investigation continues, the public is reminded to report any suspicious activities to the Command and Control Center of the Police Headquarters Reutlingen. The name of the head of the Reutlingen police station is not directly provided in the available sources.
