Charity event named "Change your life!" is scheduled for May 16 in Yakutsk.
In the heart of Yakutsk, on May 16, 2024, the social and charitable action "Change Life!" will take place near the "Hot Tea" cafe at 8/1, F. Popova Street. This action, aimed at helping citizens in difficult life situations, is being organised by the Human Rights Commissioner in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
The action is scheduled to run from 10:00 to 17:00 and will provide a range of services to those in need. Over 900 people have applied for help, and 90 of them have already returned to a normal life. Some have managed to arrange for a pension, restore passports, SIN, INN, certificates, and other important documents.
The action is being held at the request of citizens, the Human Rights Commissioner in RS (Y) and the MIA of RS (Y). It is organised in accordance with the Federal Law of June 23, 2016 No. 182-FZ "On the Foundations of the System of Preventive Measures against Offenses in the Russian Federation".
During the action, medical services will be provided, including phthisiatrists, therapists, narcologists, blood tests, fluorography, and more. Psychological consultations will also be available. Hot food and clean clothes will be distributed, and efforts will be made to restore lost documents.
Some of the helped individuals have found jobs in various sectors such as agriculture, retail, rehabilitation organizations, and a rapid response station. Employment and placement in shelters will also be provided during the action.
The press service of the Human Rights Commissioner in Yakutia is reporting on the action. This is the 11th stage of the action, which has been held in Yakutsk since August 2018.
The action is for those without a permanent place of residence and work, and those leading an antisocial lifestyle. It is a beacon of hope for many, offering a chance to start anew and improve their lives.
