Charles Barkley delivering passionate remarks reveals the honest truth behind the upheaval in Inside the NBA broadcast, perceived as disregarding fans' interests.

In a recent development, basketball legend Charles Barkley has expressed his concerns about the upcoming changes in the way the NBA is broadcast to fans. The NBA has signed a new 11-year, $76 billion TV deal, which includes contracts with NBC, ESPN, Amazon Prime, and TNT.

Barkley, who is a popular analyst on TNT's Inside the NBA, has been vocal about his apprehensions. TNT recently reached a deal to license the program and air it on ESPN, but the format of Inside the NBA on ESPN remains unknown to Barkley.

One of Barkley's main concerns is the potential confusion for regular fans due to the numerous streaming services and channels airing the NBA. He also expressed worry about the length of time he and his co-hosts, Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, and Kenny Smith, will have to discuss the game on ESPN.

Barkley declined NBC's offer to join their coverage next season, citing the contract's requirement for him to work three days a week as a red flag. He implied that the NBA doesn't care about the impact on fans with the changes in broadcasting.

NBC, ESPN, and Amazon Prime will be the broadcasters for the next 11 years, with TNT losing the rights to televise the NBA after 36 years. This means that Inside the NBA, which is typically airing during NBA game nights on TNT, will now air on ESPN.

Despite the uncertainty and concerns, Barkley remains hopeful and assured fans that he will continue to be a part of Inside the NBA, along with his co-hosts. He ranted about not knowing what Inside the NBA will look like on ESPN but emphasised that he and his fellow analysts will remain together.

A potential collaboration between Barkley and basketball icon Michael Jordan would have been must-see television, but it remains to be seen if this will happen under the new broadcasting setup. As the season approaches, fans can only wait and see how the changes in broadcasting will affect their viewing experience.
