Chicago-Based Sports Network set to debut Direct-to-Consumer Service on November 15th
New CHSN Streaming Service Launches for Chicago Sports Fans
The Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) has announced the launch of a new digital streaming service, providing Chicago sports fans with immediate access to live games and on-demand content for the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls, and White Sox. The service, which is part of CHSN's long-term commitment to Chicago sports fans, was announced by CHSN President Jason Coyle on November 15.
The streaming service, developed in partnership with ViewLift and Fubo, offers a wealth of features for sports enthusiasts. In addition to streaming games involving the three teams, the service includes a CHSN Live Game Center offering live streams, real-time game coverage, and pre/postgame coverage. Fans can also enjoy in-game highlights, pregame and postgame coverage, and interviews with athletes and coaches.
The service can be purchased on CHSN.com, the iOS App Store, or Google Play. Subscription packages start at $19.99 per month for one team or $29.99 per month for all three teams. A free 7-day trial is offered for a package of choice. Authentication via eligible TV providers will be available in the coming weeks.
Access to the games via connected TV applications such as Roku, Fire TV, and Apple TV will be available after authentication. The streams can be cast to larger screens, including TVs, providing fans with a convenient way to watch their favourite teams.
Subscribers of the full access package will get access to CHSN's programming slate, including "The Chicago Lead," "The Big College Football Show," "The Big Pro Football Show presented by the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers," and a simulcast of WSCR radio's "Mully and Haugh" morning show.
The partnership between CHSN and ViewLift, an over-the-top technology vendor, will further enhance the streaming service's capabilities. ViewLift has created DTC streaming platforms for sports and entertainment clients, such as Monumental Sports Network in Washington, the NHL, individual teams, NBA, NBCUniversal, LIV Golf, Tegna, and others.
This deal also allows Fubo customers in the Chicago area to access broadcasts of these teams' games starting in 2025. With this new streaming service, CHSN is reaffirming its dedication to Chicago sports fans, offering them a comprehensive and convenient way to stay up-to-date with their favourite teams.
