Child found and returned to family following straying onto Monorail pathways at Hersheypark
In a heartwarming incident that took place at Hersheypark in Pennsylvania on Saturday, a young boy was rescued after wandering onto the tracks of the Hersheypark Monorail. The child, who became separated from his parents around 5 p.m., was reported missing and was later found on the tracks.
The Monorail ride was closed during the incident, and the platform was barricaded. However, the entrance to the Monorail was secured with a chained closure to prevent any further incidents.
The boy was at the closed station for approximately 20 minutes before being spotted by a vigilant guest. The guest led the boy to safety, and park personnel quickly responded to the situation.
In addition to park personnel, Danish individuals who were visiting the park also played a crucial role in the rescue. They assisted in freeing the boy from the ride tracks.
Fortunately, the child was not injured during the incident. He was reunited with his family before 5:30 p.m.
Hersheypark spokesperson expressed gratitude for the vigilance of guests and the swift response of the team. They also emphasized the park's commitment to maintaining high levels of guest safety.
