Child Struck by Vehicle + Incident of Unplugged Power Columns + Elderly Individual Victimized by Theft
In a tragic incident that occurred on Thursday morning, an 81-year-old pensioner was severely injured in a traffic accident in Leipzig. The accident involved a van on Bitterfelder Straße, according to reports.
The incident unfolded around 6:30 AM when a 12-year-old boy, who was crossing the road, failed to pay attention to traffic. Unfortunately, a van driver was unable to brake in time to avoid the accident, resulting in the pensioner being injured. The boy, too, sustained injuries and was immediately taken to a hospital.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident also reported in Leipzig on Thursday evening, a scam occurred. The scam involved a fake bank employee who convinced a victim to prepare cash and her bank card for pick-up. No information has been provided about the total amount of money swindled in this incident. An unknown person later arrived at the apartment to collect the money and card.
Authorities have not released any information about any arrests or investigations related to either incident. However, it is worth noting that search results do not contain information about the identities of the two suspects arrested in connection with the theft of e-charging stations in Delitzsch. The suspects in the Leipzig scam remain at large.
It is a reminder for everyone to stay vigilant, especially when crossing roads and dealing with unfamiliar individuals claiming to be from financial institutions. The safety and well-being of our community are of utmost importance.
No information about any damage to property or infrastructure has been reported in connection with either incident. The city of Bad Düben and Leipzig continue to function as usual.
Our thoughts are with the injured pensioner and the young boy in their recovery. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
