Christmas Market in Offenbach 2024: Details on the Schedule and Clubhouse Information
The much-anticipated Offenbach Christmas Market is set to return this year, bringing joy and holiday cheer to the city from November 18 to December 29. With certain exceptions for Totensonntag (November 24) and the Christmas holidays (December 25-26), residents and visitors alike can immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere.
The market will feature a diverse stage program, including music ensembles, bands, and special appearances by Santa Claus. Kicking off the season on November 18 is the Offenbacher Jugendfeuerwehr (Offenbach Youth Fire Brigade), who will be represented at their clubhouse.
On November 23, the PFH Band will take the stage, followed by Almdudler Mountain Songs on November 29. The musical extravaganza continues with performances by Geschwister David on December 1, Schlagerweihnacht Hitmix Duo on November 30, and Alexandre Zindel AutoharpSinger on December 7. A Musical Christmas Revue featuring singing angels and Santa Claus is scheduled for December 6, and Traditional Christmas Carols will be performed by the Music Association Eintracht on December 8.
A highlight of the market each year is the Christmas tree, which this year comes from the Sauerland region. The approximately ten-meter-high Nordman fir will be set up on November 14, but as of now, it remains unlit and without a name. The Office for Public Relations is inviting Offenbach residents to participate in a survey on the city's social media channels to suggest a name for the tree.
In previous years, the trees were named "Waldemar" and "Frieda". However, this year's tree will bear a new name, to be determined after a suitable one is chosen. Once a name is selected, the tree will be lit, adding another layer of magic to the already enchanting market.
On December 5, Saint Nicholas will make an appearance at the market accompanied by his angel. Visitors can also look forward to the performance of the Offenbach Christmas Market's headlining act, Schlagerweihnacht Hitmix Duo, on November 30.
