In four weeks, the racing world will once again gather at Longchamp for the prestigious Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. One horse set to make a return is Aventure, affectionately known as the "Queen of Longchamp."

Christophe Ferland, Aventure's trainer, made the strategic decision to skip the Romanet and wait for the Vermeille, a move that paid off as Aventure secured its first Group 1 success in exceptional form. The horse finished the race with authority, with the Prix de Diane winner Gezora coming in second.

Maxime Guyon, the jockey who rode Aventure, expressed his satisfaction with the horse's performance, stating that it was a filly who truly deserved to win. Pierre-Yves Bureau, the racing manager for the Wertheimers, also expressed relief about Aventure's easy win, noting its ability to handle softer ground could be an advantage in the Arc.

The form of Gezora, however, might not be as strong as initially perceived, as it finished second in this race. Francis Graffard, Gezora's trainer, has not yet decided whether to enter Gezora in the Arc or the Opera, but given Peter Brant's love for Longchamp, the Arc seems likely.

The Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe is scheduled for October 5 at Longchamp. Aventure's victory has caused a stir in the betting markets, with its odds for the Arc being cut to 4-1, making it either the outright market leader or sharing favoritism.

Other horses set to compete in the Arc include Byzantine Dream, trained by Tomoyasu Sakaguchi and nominated for the race, Sosie, Kalpana, Cualificar, and Minnie Hauk. The current odds for the Arc, according to Paddy Power, are 4 for Aventure, 10 for Byzantine Dream, and 11 for Croix Du Nord.

Whirl, a dual Group 1 winner, finished sixth in the race, causing some confusion and disappointment among its connections. Survie, which finished third to Whirl in the Pretty Polly, beat Whirl in this race, adding another twist to the Arc contenders.

As the countdown to the Arc begins, the racing world eagerly awaits to see if Aventure can break its pattern of finishing second in Group 1 races and secure a well-deserved victory in the Arc.
