City initiates a disposal fund to bolster urban core reinforcement

The city of Karlsruhe has established a discretionary fund to support creative projects, new uses, and civic engagement within the city centre. This fund aims to revitalise the city centre, set new impulses, and strengthen collaboration between the city, economy, associations, and engaged citizens.

The organisation responsible for the allocation of the grant fund for creative projects in the city centre is the Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaftsbüro (K³) Karlsruhe. The discretionary fund can subsidise events, interim uses, shop window designs, and image-building measures.

Further information about the fund, specific funding areas, and required documents can be found on the homepage of the organisation: www.our website/discretionary fund.

All citizens, including individuals, associations, businesses, and initiatives, are eligible to apply for support from the fund. Funding for the discretionary fund comes from a federal program called "Future-Proof Cities and Centers" (ZIZ), in combination with a municipal contribution. Half of the project costs can be subsidised through the federal program.

The implementation of the discretionary fund is carried out in close coordination with the City Management and a local decision-making body. Applications for the fund can be submitted immediately. Open questions can be directed to the City Management via email at citymanagement@our website.

The goal of the fund is to foster a vibrant and innovative city centre that attracts residents, visitors, and businesses alike. The discretionary fund is a unique opportunity for the city's creative community to bring their ideas to life and contribute to the city's ongoing development. So, if you have a creative project in mind, don't hesitate to apply!
