City Library's Kid-Friendly Programming
The City Library is gearing up for an engaging week, with a variety of activities designed for different age groups. On Wednesday, September 18th, the library is hosting a Children's Afternoon from 4 to 5 pm. The theme for this special event is "Making Paper Kites". This event, hosted by the Youth Library, is open to children aged 8 to 11.
For the youngest library-goers, the Book Worms will meet on the same day, Wednesday, September 18th, from 9:30 to 11 am. These meetings, specifically designed for toddlers, offer a chance for toddlers to explore the library, discover books, and exchange ideas with other families, all accompanied by their caregivers.
The City Library offers a wealth of activities beyond these events. The Reading Corner, a cozy atmosphere for stories to be read aloud and books to be explored together, takes place on Thursday, September 19th, from 3 to 4:30 pm.
For enthusiastic readers aged 8 to 12, the Children's Reading Club meets on Thursdays, with sessions on September 11th and 25th, from 5 to 6 pm. The Youth Reading Club, for readers aged 12 to 18, also meets on Thursdays.
The library's activities are not limited to reading clubs. Creative crafting sessions, such as the paper kite-making event, are also on offer. The library provides a welcoming environment for families to engage in shared reading and creative activities.
