City music performance takes place at our city marketplace on Thursday - inaugural city Mitsing event
Kassel, the city in North Hesse, has recently been crowned the winner of the Hessian state competition "Ab in die Mitte" 2025, with its summer project "A City for All". This project, running from July 10 to August 14, 2025, in the city centre, promises a series of exciting events for all residents and visitors.
The city's Marketing Department is at the helm of this summer extravaganza, offering a variety of services including sharing news on various social media platforms. One such event is the sing-along concert with the original band "Desperado Four" on July 10, 2025. The musical foundation for this concert will be provided by an orchestra, while the lyrics for the songs will be displayed on a large LCD screen to aid the singing.
For those who prefer to dance the night away, mark your calendars for August 14, 2025, when Kassel hosts a salsa evening, CITYtanzt. Renowned salsa DJs, DJ SINCO and DJ ZDEE, will be spinning tunes all night, and Marcel Werner from Hotel Scirocco will provide gastronomic offerings, including cocktails and paella. Hotel Scirocco is a project partner for this event.
In addition to these musical events, there will be a board games event, CITYspielt, on August 7, 2025, featuring games from Holzspiel Event. The project "A City for All" also includes various events on Thursdays on the market square, as well as the acquisition of mobile trees for the city.
