City Proposes Draft Development Plan for Riebeckplatz Open for Public Input
The State of Saxony-Anhalt has announced a public participation process for Development Plan No. 174.2, also known as the Riebeckplatz-Zukunftszentrum in Halle (Saale). This plan aims to transform the traffic-used areas of Riebeckplatz, including parking lots on Volkmannstraße and Madgeburger Straße, as well as the two elevated roads.
Citizens are invited to make their voices heard through the Participation Form or the Participation Portal, both part of the State of Saxony-Anhalt's infrastructure. The Participation Form can be printed, signed, and submitted with statements, while the Participation Portal serves as an online platform for viewing, consulting, and submitting statements.
The draft of the development plan, along with its justification and environmental report, is available for public viewing from September 2, 2025, to October 6, 2025. The draft can be accessed online at www.public-display.halle.de, or in the foyer of the administrative building Neustaedter Passage 18.
The city council has already approved the draft, and significant already available environmentally related statements are included. Statements can also be made electronically on the Participation Portal of the State of Saxony-Anhalt.
The public participation period is an essential part of the process, allowing citizens to voice their opinions on the plan. The Group Planwerkstatt, an architectural firm, is involved in the design of the development plan.
For those who prefer a more traditional method, the Participation Form can be sent to the city of Halle (Saale) for submission. It's important to note that both the Participation Form and the Participation Portal are means for public participation in the development plan process.
The city of Halle (Saale) has published Development Plan No. 174.2 for public participation, marking an opportunity for the community to shape the future of the Riebeckplatz area.
