"City Works Solingen offers the first virtual football recruitment event, hosted by Team City Works."
On Thursday, September 11, 2025, Stadtwerke Solingen is inviting young people aged 15 and above to an engaging event at their premises located at Beethovenstraße 210. The event, scheduled from 5:00 PM to approximately 7:30 PM, is designed to be fun, open, and focused on personal contact.
Jennifer Gerhardt from the HR department of Stadtwerke Solingen is looking forward to the event. She emphasises that the aim is to show young people that training with Stadtwerke Solingen offers future, security, community, and real perspectives.
Participants will have the opportunity to meet apprentices and trainers from various departments of Stadtwerke Solingen, who will provide insights into their daily work. The company offers a wide range of training professions, including Electronics Technician for Energy and Building Technology, Industrial Mechanic for Pipe Systems, Specialist in Public Transport, Vehicle Mechatronics Engineer, Retail Marketing Specialist, and Industrial Business Management Specialist.
In addition to the professional aspect, the event also features an eFootball tournament in EA Sports FC Club mode, played on 14 PlayStations. Whether you're a full pro, strategist, or casual player, everyone is welcome to attend. The tournament will be played on a large screen and in randomly assembled teams.
Catering will be provided, with free snacks and soft drinks available for all attendees.

Please note that consent for photography is required, especially for minors, by the parents. A short press event will take place before the event, for which photography consent is also required.
