According to reports, the 33-year-old German man was heavily intoxicated and was causing disturbances by verbally harassing other festival participants. The dispute escalated, leading to a physical altercation between the 33-year-old man and the 27-year-old German visitor, causing minor injuries to the latter.
In an attempt to mediate the dispute, the 49-year-old American also became involved in the altercation with the 33-year-old suspect. The American was slightly injured during the incident and drew a knife. However, other festival attendees intervened and disarmed the 49-year-old.
The 33-year-old suspect was taken into custody, and officers from the Malchin Police Station arrived at the scene, securing the pocketknife and initiating several criminal proceedings for suspected bodily harm and attempted dangerous bodily harm.
