The Gillamoos festival in Lower Bavaria, one of the largest and oldest folk festivals in the region, has been marred by several incidents of bodily harm this year.

On Saturday evening, an intoxicated 26-year-old threw a flowerpot through a festival tent, hitting a 22-year-old on the head. The incident resulted in minor injuries. Earlier in the day, a 19-year-old reported a 18-year-old for intentional bodily harm after being insulted and punched in the face at a festival tent.

Two 34-year-old men were also excluded from the festival for aggressively treating security staff. Several police officers were required to remove the two men from the festival grounds.

In a separate incident, a 40-year-old punched a 23-year-old in the face during a heated argument, slightly injuring the younger man.

A 16-year-old was found with a knuckleduster and is facing a procedure for violating the Weapons Act. There was also a violation of the Weapons Act at the festival, but the details of the incident are not disclosed in the available reports.

Another concerning incident involved a 30-year-old who headbutted a security guard, leading to an investigation into intentional bodily harm. The name of the person who discharged an injurious weapon on Saturday evening and is being investigated for bodily harm is not disclosed in the available reports; the suspect is described only as a 40-year-old man involved in an incident on the street "Am Nordbahnhof" in Berlin in the early morning hours, who shot a 28-year-old man in the face with a blank-firing gun and inflicted a cut with a knife.

The festival, which attracts thousands of visitors, was forced to evacuate thousands of visitors due to a severe weather warning on Thursday. Despite the disturbing incidents, organisers are working to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees for the remainder of the festival.
