In a shocking turn of events, a shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic school on August 27 left two children dead and 17 others injured. The tragic incident took place at the Church of Annunciation, a place of worship in the heart of the city.

A 23-year-old man, identified by police sources as possibly named Robin Westman or Robert Westman, opened fire during a Mass through the church windows, using a rifle, shotgun, and pistol. The attacker took his own life following the horrific act.

The aftermath of the shooting was captured in a photograph provided by AP/YONHAP. The location of the photo is the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The photo shows Genevieve Bisek, one of the shooting victims, lying in her hospital bed. Cards made by her classmates are taped to the wall of her hospital room, a testament to the community's support during this difficult time.

Another photograph, provided by Wanda Stipek, shows the cards that were made for Genevieve. The cards, filled with messages of hope and encouragement, are a poignant symbol of the community's resilience in the face of adversity.

A separate photograph, provided by Gwendolyn Bisek, shows Genevieve after she was shot and wounded. The image is heart-wrenching, yet it serves as a stark reminder of the reality of the situation.

On August 30, a Delta flight was diverted to Minneapolis due to turbulence, resulting in injuries to 25 people. While this incident pales in comparison to the church shooting, it underscores the city's current state of turmoil.

As the city of Minneapolis grapples with these tragedies, the community continues to rally around Genevieve Bisek, a young girl whose life was forever changed by the shooting at the Church of Annunciation.
