In an unexpected turn of events, a building in Kehl's Kittersburg district on Feldstraße became the centre of attention last night. At around 9 PM, the fire brigade was called to the scene following a report of stones falling from a bay window.

The incident occurred on the sidewalk, causing the emergency services to close off a part of Wulf-Isebrand-Platz for safety reasons. A tenant had alerted the authorities after noticing loose building parts on the second floor.

Upon arrival, the fire department used a ladder truck to remove the fallen stones and any loose building parts from the bay window on the second floor. The house owner has since been made responsible for further securing the window.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported on site, as confirmed by both the police and fire department. The cause of the incident remains undisclosed at this time.

Interestingly, this building had previously been in the news when a fire broke out on September 3, 2025. The fire brigade had to intervene then as well, highlighting the ongoing concerns regarding the safety of the structure.

The fire department also ensured traffic safety by knocking off any remaining loose stones from the facade to prevent any further incidents. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of regular building maintenance and safety checks.
